Which employers state pay in their job postings

The share of open job postings in the US that state pay, read directly from employer career sites. We count what the postings say, not what employers intend.

Counts are not ready yet

The first count runs within a day.

How we count

A posting states pay when we read a pay range from it, or when its description has a pay statement such as "Pay range", "Hiring range" or "Hourly rate" followed by a dollar amount. Bonuses, shift differentials and benefits alone do not count.

A low share can mean pay is written in a form we do not recognize yet, or that the employer's job system has no place for it: Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and Rippling carry a pay field, while most other systems, Workday and iCIMS among them, carry pay only in the description. Employers still listed under their job board's short name are left out until we have their proper name. If your postings state pay and we count them wrong, email[email protected].

Posting laws were checked on Oct 28, 2026 against state and law firm summaries; employer size thresholds and exemptions differ. This page is not legal advice.
