Position: Student Aide (Posting number 2627-3935)
Location: Klem Road North Elementary School
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: As per current Educational Support Association Agreement (ESA) as well as education and experience
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent
We strongly welcome candidates with the following qualifications:
- The ideal candidate should be able to communicate and work well with students (general and special education), teachers, parents, co-workers and others in the community.
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to physically keep up with the demands of the position.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in supervision of individual or small groups during in instructional activities.
- Collaborates with teachers.
- Assists in clerical tasks and preparation of instructional materials.
- Assists students with physical care tasks and health-related activities as appropriate. Examples could include: feeding, dressing, transfers between equipment, and toileting.
