ACE (YDP) Youth Development Professional

Primary Purpose:

Works directly with after school students on campus implementation of academic, enrichment and recreational activities in accordance with curriculum plans of ACE Program and in accordance with policies and procedures of Seguin Independent School District.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED)

  • Experience working with children is preferred.

     

    High School Diplomas and college/university degrees must be obtained from an accredited program or university approved by the United States Department of Education and the Texas Education agency.

 

Other Information:

  • Working Hours:
    • E.S. 3:00 PM-6:30 PM during program scheduled days.
    • M.S. 3:15 PM-6:45 PM during program scheduled days.
  • Various Campus Assignments

 

 

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assists in organization, setup and restoration of facilities in daily program areas.
  • Assists in organizing and maintaining supplies and equipment for daily activities.
  • Assists in maintaining supervision of both large and small group activities.
  • Assists in implementation of daily enrichment plans.
  • Supervises group homework activities.
  • Assists in maintaining a clean and neat program area at all times.
  • Participates in all staff training and staff meetings.
  • Manage student behavior and provide excellent classroom management.
  • Maintains confidentiality of information.
  • Reports to work every day.
  • Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned.

 

 

EVALUATION:

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's Policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
