- Maintain approved hardware configurations, process windows, and operational limits.
- Ensure equipment capability, repeatability, stability, and overall performance meet manufacturing requirements.
- Maintain technical documentation, equipment standards, and knowledge repositories.
- Monitor equipment lifecycle risks and develop long-term support strategies.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, supplier roadmaps, and industry best practices to identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop and enhance equipment health monitoring, Fault Detection and Classification (FDC), and predictive maintenance strategies.
- Analyze equipment data, alarms, sensors, and performance trends to identify degradation and prevent failures before they impact production.
Troubleshooting & Technical Escalation
- Provide advanced technical support for complex and high-impact equipment issues.
- Support maintenance teams when routine troubleshooting does not restore equipment performance.
- Lead technical root-cause investigations for recurring or systemic equipment failures.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to improve equipment reliability and uptime.
New Equipment & Capital Projects
- Lead equipment-related technical specifications and requirements during RFQ and supplier selection processes.
- Evaluate equipment facility requirements and ensure alignment with site standards and capabilities.
- Coordinate technical requirements with Facilities, Automation, Maintenance, Engineering teams, and external vendors.
- Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), installation, commissioning, and final tool acceptance.
- Coordinate equipment hook-up, installation activities, and subcontractor interactions.
- Lead equipment-related risk assessments during installation and commissioning phases.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Own equipment qualification and handover following new installations, relocations, or major upgrades.
- Transfer qualified equipment to Process Engineering and Maintenance organizations for ongoing operation and support.
