Maintenance Carpenter – Lakeshore Sport & Fitness

Why Lakeshore – A Place to Grow, Contribute, and Connect

We lead with our values: Professionalism, Ownership, Team, Quality, and Positivity, and we live them daily. Whether it’s launching a new kids camp, stepping in to assist a family at the front desk, or recognizing a trainer’s impact, we show up with care and high standards. Our facilities are impressive, but it’s our team culture and commitment to a seamless member experience that make this a truly special place to work and grow.

About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled Maintenance Carpenter to help keep our club looking sharp and running smoothly. From locker room repairs and doors to built-ins, trim, and renovation projects, you’ll keep our spaces safe, functional, and beautiful for members and team members. You’ll be part of a hands-on facilities team that takes pride in quality work and the details members notice.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform carpentry repairs and maintenance throughout the club, including doors, frames, hardware, lockers, cabinets, trim, ceilings, and walls
  • Build and install shelving, cabinetry, benches, and custom fixtures
  • Repair and refinish surfaces, including drywall, flooring, and woodwork
  • Support renovation and improvement projects from planning through finish work
  • Respond quickly to repair requests to minimize member impact
  • Read and work from drawings, measurements, and specs
  • Keep tools, materials, and work areas safe and organized
  • Coordinate with outside contractors on larger projects
  • Support other facility maintenance needs, including painting and general repairs

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of carpentry experience, ideally in commercial, hospitality, or facility settings
  • Skill in rough and finish carpentry, with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and accurately
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
  • Comfort working on ladders and lifts and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Dependability, quality craftsmanship, and a strong sense of ownership
  • Availability for occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends for projects that need to be done outside club hours
  • Trade school training or carpentry certifications are a plus

Pay & Benefits

Pay: $25 – $35 per hour, based on experience and certifications.

Full-time team members:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Short- and long-term disability insurance
  • Voluntary life insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Paid time off (PTO)
