About the role

Business Area: Marketing and Communications

Location: London

Reporting to: Head of Communications, Wealth Management

Job Title: Content Manager, 12-month FTC

Who we’re looking for

We are seeking an experienced Content Manager with experience developing, writing and delivering high-quality content for both internal and external audiences, ideally within financial services or a similar regulated environment.

This role will sit within the Schroders Wealth Management in‑house marketing and communications team reporting to the Head of Communications. You will be a key point of contact for day-to-day content production and execution, with the role combining writing and editing, interviewing, content planning, production and editorial judgement turning complex wealth and investment topics into clear, engaging content for clients, colleagues and wider audiences.

The role requires excellent writing and editing skills, strong editorial and news judgement, attention to detail and careful stakeholder management, alongside the ability to manage multiple projects and make complex financial subjects feel accessible and relevant. There is always a range of ad hoc tasks across the business, such as editing presentations, drafting pitch slides and RFPs, and reviewing and editing a steady stream of social media and event invites.

The base

We moved into our new HQ in the City of London in 2018. We’re close to our clients, in the heart of the UK’s financial centre and we have everything we need to work flexibly.

What you’ll do

  • Identify topical and engaging content opportunities, commission and write articles, interview subject-matter experts and edit contributions for clarity, structure, tone and impact. Maintain a strong pipeline of planned and reactive content.
  • Play a supporting role in producing the quarterly private client magazine (Dialogue) and annual family office magazine (Perspectives), working closely with contributors, internal stakeholders and design through to publication.
  • Write and edit online content, including thought leadership, interviews and coverage of events hosted by the business. Turn panel discussions and event content into engaging standalone articles and identify opportunities to repurpose material across other channels.
  • Sit on the Female Lens panel and help shape content focused on women and wealth. Deliver one Female Lens article for each quarterly edition of Dialogue, attend “Her Wealth, Her Way” events and produce associated editorial and website content.
  • Develop and edit scripts for videos, working with subject-matter experts, compliance and production teams. Write engaging social copy and identify opportunities to promote articles, events, awards, colleagues and topical content.
  • Respond quickly to geopolitical events, working with experts to produce timely, accessible commentary across multiple channels.
  • Produce and distribute the Wealth Management media review every morning, while monitoring coverage for emerging themes and editorial opportunities.
