About the role

About the Role

Lead analog and mixed-signal chip design for a team developing a new computing approach that uses thermal noise in CMOS for probabilistic sampling. You will help shape upcoming chip architectures and work across circuit design, systems, physics, and algorithms.

What You'll Do

  • Design analog and mixed-signal blocks, including ADCs, PLLs, bandgaps, regulators, SerDes, oscillators, and dividers.

  • Own substantial parts of chip architecture and potentially lead the design of an upcoming chip.

  • Perform hands-on layout and design verification, including DRC, ERC, and LVS.

  • Collaborate with IC, systems, physics, and algorithms teams to translate computing concepts into silicon.

  • Help test and validate fabricated chips using lab equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.

What We're Looking For

  • 6 to 20 years of analog and mixed-signal IC design experience, including work on blocks such as PLLs, ADCs, or SerDes.

  • CMOS circuit design expertise and multiple completed tape-outs, including experience with FinFET or 28nm/65nm processes.

  • An MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering focused on circuits or IC design.

  • Proficiency with Cadence simulation, including parasitic extraction, Monte Carlo analysis, and process corners.

  • Hands-on layout experience and familiarity with Python and C.

  • Experience across multiple circuit types and comfort taking on practical tasks beyond a narrow specialty in a startup environment.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $200,000 to $325,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

Location

Hybrid, based in Boston, Massachusetts, with three days per week on-site.
