About the role
About the Role
Lead RF engineering for a defense technology team developing a high-power directed-energy system designed to counter drone threats. This is a hands-on role focused on building and validating the RF architecture before growing the engineering team as the company scales.
What You'll Do
Own the clean-sheet RF system architecture and guide it through design for manufacturing and production.
Design and validate high-power RF systems, antenna arrays, and related hardware.
Use lab equipment such as signal generators and vector network analyzers to test and troubleshoot designs.
Support phased-array development, electromagnetic simulation, and anechoic chamber testing.
Apply first-principles engineering to resolve system, performance, and manufacturability challenges.
Begin as a hands-on individual contributor, then build and lead the RF engineering team as it grows.
What We're Looking For
5 to 12 years of RF engineering experience, including hands-on individual-contributor work.
Experience taking a clean-sheet RF design through DFM and into production.
Deep experience in high-power RF and analog RF, with practical work in RF system design, antenna systems, MMIC design, or electromagnetics.
Experience with phased arrays, either at the system level or on a component.
Familiarity with HFSS, antenna design and simulation, high-power GaN power amplifiers, VNA, signal generators, anechoic chamber testing, and EMI/EMC.
A record of shipped products or hands-on hardware projects.
Eligibility to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
Compensation & Benefits
