About the role

About the Role

A legal technology company is seeking a Senior Partner to help grow an AI-enabled law practice in Germany. You will bring an established client practice, continue advising clients, and help move recurring legal work onto AI-powered workflows.

What You'll Do

  • Help shape the firm's growth and contribute to its path toward Series A.

  • Transition your portable client practice to the firm's platform while continuing to serve those clients.

  • Build market credibility and develop opportunities through your private equity, venture capital, and mid-market network.

  • Identify cross-selling opportunities for commercial and compliance services across your client base.

  • Work with the founding team to automate recurring legal matters using AI agents.

What We're Looking For

  • 12 to 20 or more years of German legal practice, with experience at partner level.

  • German-qualified Volljurist admitted as a Rechtsanwalt, with native-level German and professional English.

  • A personally portable book of business valued at €1 million or more, with a diversified client base that follows you independently of a large-firm brand.

  • Strong relationships with private equity or venture capital firms and their portfolio companies, or a comparable mid-market client network.

  • Experience with recurring, automatable work such as commercial contracts, IT and data, corporate and venture capital, or regulatory matters.

  • Practical experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or legal AI products, and a willingness to adapt legal workflows to automation.

  • A feasible client transition plan, including a notice period and no restrictions that prevent moving your practice.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range: €200,000 to €300,000 annually. Meaningful equity is offered. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Location

Berlin, Germany. The role may be based in person or remote within Germany; Berlin in-person work is preferred.
