Responsibilities:
- Collaborate and plan with other wrestling coaches at Deer Path
- Organize and facilitate practices and matches
- Communicate with parents, participants and fellow coaches
- Plan and execute skills and training programs specific for the level of athlete
- Prepare student-athletes for competition
- Help oversee the daily maintenance of equipment and cleaning of wrestling facilities
- Have appropriate ethical behavior and instill those behaviors in our athletes
Qualifications:
- Experience working with student-athletes and wrestling - preferred
- Ability to work cooperatively with administrators, coaches, parents, and student-athletes
- Illinois Teaching Certificate registered in Lake County, ASEP certificate (American Sport Education Program) - preferred
- IESA Concussion Certified
