Job Summary
Social Emotional Learning Specialist (1:1) — Two Positions Available
Petaluma and Concord, California | SEEDS LLC
Help children feel a little more seen and a little less alone. SEEDS provides personalized, relationship-based social-emotional learning support that helps children build emotional awareness, relationships, confidence, and independence.
Two Positions Available
Position 1 — Petaluma Area: In-person, home-based position in the Petaluma area.
Position 2 — Concord Area: Part-time. In-person, school-based position in the Concord area. Hours may range between 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM.
What You'll Do: Build a trusting, supportive relationship with a learner, one-on-one. Help the learner recognize and navigate emotions, strengthen social skills, and manage challenging moments. Support communication, problem-solving, positive peer interactions, and relationship repair. Follow the learner's individualized Summary, Goals & Plan (SGP), observe and document progress, and collaborate with SEEDS leadership.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in psychology, education, child development, social work, or a related field. Experience working with children in educational, developmental, or supportive environments. Strong communication, observation, and relationship-building skills; patience, flexibility, and reliability. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license; ability to complete required background screening.
Training and Support: SEEDS provides initial training in our relationship-based approach, with ongoing, hands-on guidance from our leadership team.
