Substitute Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

The Consolidated School District of New Britain is accepting applications for substitute Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN).

POSITION DETAILS

• Requirements:
  • Current State of Connecticut Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (proof required).
  • One year of experience as an LPN.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Ability to function autonomously.
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience documenting visit notes in electronic medical records.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Experience with tracheostomies and feeding tubes.

• Additional Details:
  • Experience in the following areas is preferred: Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine/Triage, or Public Health nursing.
  • Applicants should be comfortable working independently and be capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

SALARY 

• For the 2026-2027 school year, the pay rate is $34.94/hour.
