About the role
About the role...
Do you thrive in a fast-paced transformation environment? Get a buzz from bringing structure, governance and momentum to complex change programmes?
We have an exciting opportunity for a PMO Manager to lead and evolve our Project Management Office, ensuring our portfolio of projects, programmes and strategic initiatives are aligned to the firm's ambitions and growth agenda. Working across both the Transformation and Integration teams, you'll play a pivotal role in providing the governance, visibility and control needed to deliver change successfully at scale.
As Cooper Parry continues its ambitious growth journey, you'll be at the heart of ensuring resources are effectively prioritised, risks are managed and stakeholders have the insight they need to make informed decisions. You'll own and continuously improve PMO standards, frameworks and reporting, helping to create a consistent and high-performing project delivery environment across the business.
This is the perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing strategic oversight with operational excellence. We're looking for a confident and collaborative PMO leader who can build strong relationships across the firm, influence senior stakeholders and bring clarity to complex change activity.
If you're passionate about governance, portfolio management and enabling successful transformation through structure and best practice, we'd love to hear from you.
This is an incredibly diverse role, with responsibilities spanning across;
Governance and Standards
- Building upon existing project management methodologies, best practices, templates, and tools across the business to define a clear set of operating standards.
- Overseeing the governance framework to ensure compliance and quality control throughout the project lifecycle
- Serving as a custodian responsible for providing independent delivery assurance.
Portfolio and Performance Oversight
- Monitoring, tracking, and reporting on project performance metrics, timelines, budgets, and milestones to provide a single consistent view across Transformation to senior leadership.
- Consolidating risk, issue, and dependency logs across the portfolio, to enable oversight at a portfolio level and highlighting where mitigating actions are needed.
- Ensuring projects deliver expected business case benefits and strategic value.
Resource and Financial Management
- Coordinating capacity planning and resource allocation across multiple projects.
- Assisting in developing project budgets, forecasting costs, and managing financial reporting.
Stakeholder Engagement and Leadership
- Acting as a central point of communication between the project leads (in both Transformation and Integration), service lines, and senior stakeholders including the Board.
- Coaching, mentoring, and supporting project managers and business SME’s, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

- Ability to collaborate and build effective working relationships, influencing others to make bold changes
- Strong facilitations skills, regardless of who is attending a session
- Adaptability to thrive in an ever-changing environment, naturally prioritising workload
- Ability to multitask, working on and coordinating activities for multiple improvements at different phases of the CI cycle at any one time
- A solution focused mindset with willingness to roll sleeves up and get stuck in
- Confidence to challenge stakeholders at all levels.
- Big picture thinking, relating improvements to strategy with support
- Strong IT skills, including full MS suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Teams and Visio) and specific project management tools
- Good knowledge of Transformation and CI tools and techniques such as Lean/Lean Six Sigma, DMAIC etc.
