Conditional Special Education Teacher Application - Grow Your Own Collaborative (McDaniel College / MSDE)   2027 - 2028

This posting is specifically for current FCPS employees who have at least a Bachelor's Degree, are seeking a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate and teacher licensure in Special Education, and would be required to participate in the Frederick Grow Your Own Collaborative.

Candidate selection is ongoing and interested individuals are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible - program spots are limited!
Application deadline is July 15, 2027.

• Virtual evening classes
• Support for EdTPA and Praxis testing
• Praxis and textbook costs reimbursed

This program would require you to earn your initial teacher licensure in Special Education through a 29-credit, four semester Post-Baccalaureate Certificate (PBC) program with McDaniel College.

Work Year Calendar

• 10-month position (190 days/year), 7 hours per day

Under the Fair Labor and Standards Act this position is exempt from overtime.  Actual salary placement will be in accordance with the salary procedures of the Frederick County Public School System.
