About the Role
We are seeking experienced Consultant Ophthalmologists with expertise in Cataract or Glaucoma to join a major tertiary ophthalmology service in Singapore.
This is an excellent opportunity to deliver advanced ophthalmic care across outpatient, surgical, and emergency settings within a highly regarded healthcare network.
The successful candidate will contribute to clinical service delivery, postgraduate teaching, research, and service development within a world-class clinical and academic environment.
🔍 Key Responsibilities
Deliver consultant-level ophthalmic care across clinics and theatres
Provide specialist expertise in Cataract or Glaucoma
Perform ophthalmic surgical procedures appropriate to subspecialty and experience
Participate in on-call and emergency ophthalmology services
Supervise and mentor residents and junior clinicians
Contribute to CME, audit, research, and service improvement
✅ Candidate Requirements
MBBS or equivalent medical degree
Postgraduate qualification in Ophthalmology, e.g. FRCOphth, MMed, American Board of Ophthalmology, or equivalent
Recognised advanced specialist training in Ophthalmology
Subspecialty expertise in Cataract or Glaucoma
Eligibility for specialist registration in Singapore
Senior Consultant applicants require substantial post-CCT experience
