*** If the applicant does not currently have a supplemental in Chemistry the applicant must be willing to obtain a GELAP (General Education Limited Assignment Permit)- and meet the requirements to teach Chemistry the school year, which are passing of all CSET in Chemistry or complete coursework.

Requirements / Qualifications

Must have a Valid California Teaching credential in Biology & Chemistry, and at least two years of teaching experience with ELA Authorization.
Minimum Qualifications:

• A Clear/Preliminary Credential, in the subject matter of: Single Subject or Multiple Subject credential with ELA Authorization, or a District Intern Permit, Short Term Staff Permit or Provisional Permit to teach (must have 18 subject units in the subject matter for a Short-Term Staff Permit or Provisional Permit).
• Must have a B.A., B.S., or A.A. Degree (when applicable).
• Valid Driver’s License and insurance.

Fundamental Responsibilities:

Provide instruction to at-risk students. Teach content and skills in the assigned subject matter.
Develop and implement lesson plans for multi-subject and/or single subject curriculum. To
improve academic skills and to provide career and vocational awareness/education. Instruct
Students in citizenship, and basic communication skills. This position needs to work effectively
with multi-cultural/diverse groups, and have the ability to establish a positive relationship with
