Founding Senior Engineer

About the Role

Join an early-stage AI company building growth tools for consumer brands. As a hands-on player-coach, you will own core engineering work while helping shape the architecture and engineering culture.

What You'll Do

• Build data infrastructure that tracks merchant lifecycle events and connects actions to outcomes.

• Develop agentic growth systems that assess operations, identify opportunities, and execute changes automatically.

• Own full-stack development of the growth engine, with a strong focus on backend systems and infrastructure.

• Build reliable integrations with commerce, advertising, and marketing platforms, alongside orchestration tools.

• Mentor engineers while remaining actively involved in day-to-day development.

What We're Looking For

• Five to eight years of full-stack engineering experience, with strong backend skills in data infrastructure, event systems, and API integrations.

• Hands-on experience building and owning production agentic or LLM-powered systems integrated with third-party APIs.

• Experience with Python, TypeScript, LLMs, and commerce or marketing integrations such as Shopify, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, or Klaviyo.

• Experience leading or mentoring engineers, and the ability to prioritize work and create structure in ambiguous environments.

• Early-stage startup or founding engineer experience, or experience at a growing startup before it reached a large scale.

• Strong communication skills and a consistent record of contributing to engineering teams.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary is $175,000 to $225,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
