About the role

Amazon is a large and fast-growing channel for Skechers, and much of how we run it today depends on individual expertise and manual work. This leader owns the US Amazon business end to end, including the P&L. They set the strategy, connect the teams that touch the business, and drive execution. They are the primary partner to the divisional sales reps who own selection and forecasting today. The goal is to grow the business profitably and run it more efficiently: standardize what works, close the gaps, and free teams to spend their time on higher-value work.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • The US Amazon P&L: understand what drives the business, work across teams to address opportunities, and grow it profitably
  • Strategy for each pillar of the business: selection, forecasting and inventory, deals and promotions, advertising, economics, and operations. You build the strategy and the standard processes behind each pillar, then drive execution, audit results, and keep improving.
  • Economics and investment: evaluate where and how much to invest across advertising, promotions, and other growth levers, based on total returns
  • Cross-functional partnership: align sales reps, customer service, marketing, and the operations team around a common strategy and cadence
  • The ecommerce team: lead the team that runs advertising, catalog, content, and analytics, develop its people, and grow it as the strategy requires
  • External partners: own the relationships with our agencies and providers (advertising, catalog, content). Make sure we have the right partners and that they deliver what we need.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • 6+ years of Amazon experience, at Amazon or on the brand side, including hands-on experience with vendor central
  • A vision-setter who can also roll up their sleeves, taking a strategy from concept to working process
  • Strong ownership, and the ability to overcome obstacles to get things implemented
  • Influence with or without authority. You can build alignment among very different stakeholders (sales reps, operations teams, agencies, senior leadership), understand what each needs, and move them toward a common goal.
  • A people leader who develops talent and can elevate a team doing largely executional work
  • A change leader who can make complex topics clear to people who aren’t close to them
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience in process improvement and automation, with AI and automation exposure a strong plus. You can operate at scale and make a business run more efficiently.
  • Experience directing agencies and tools
  • Fashion, footwear, or apparel experience preferred

Pay range for this position is $190,000 - $230,000/year USD.
