About Our Family
We are a busy, close-knit dual-military family navigating demanding careers, two little ones, and a beloved senior dog. Both Mom and Dad work outside the home, and Dad especially has a schedule that can vary from day to day. Military schedules can be incredibly unpredictable, and with training, travel, and deployments, we're entering a season when an extra set of hands at home will make a meaningful difference. We are active, health-conscious, and deeply invested in our family's well-being.
With a new baby and toddler at home, we're looking for someone who can help make the everyday routine a little easier. We're a thoughtful, organized family who values our time together and wants to spend less of it worrying about the little things that need to get done.
Home is our sanctuary, and we want it to stay that way even on the hardest weeks. We like things to feel comfortable, organized, and welcoming, but we also understand that life with young children doesn't always go according to plan! We're not looking for someone to take over or completely manage our household or childcare. We simply need a dependable, proactive person who can step in, notice what needs attention, and take care of the everyday details that can quickly add up for parents with limited time outside work.
Who You Are / What We're Looking For
You're warm, dependable, and naturally helpful, with a calm, organized approach to keeping a household running smoothly. You're resourceful, take pride in following through, and don't wait to be told what needs to be done. You proactively notice what needs attention, use good judgment, and take initiative while keeping the family informed.
You're comfortable working independently and anticipating the family's needs, whether that's planning meals, folding laundry, or keeping the afternoon routine on track. You understand that great support isn't just about checking off tasks; it's about taking some of the everyday mental load off the parents so they can spend more time with their children.
You're genuinely comfortable with young children, including an infant and a toddler. Afternoon daycare pickups are a significant part of this role, and you're confident in taking ownership of the pickup schedule and helping make the transition from daycare to home as smooth as possible. You're flexible and willing to jump in with additional coverage when needed, understanding that schedules and priorities can change, especially in a military household.
You're also confident in planning meals and preparing food for the week. You enjoy taking ownership of meal prep, thinking ahead, and ensuring the family has healthy, thoughtfully prepared meals ready to go. You're able to move naturally between supporting the children's routines, preparing meals, and handling household responsibilities, bringing a hands-on and helpful approach wherever support is needed.
You respect the family's personal space, communicate openly, and work thoughtfully in the background without disrupting the household's rhythm. Above all, you're someone the family can trust and count on to bring a little more calm and breathing room to their days.
