Edelman is looking for a Senior Account Manager to play a major role within our Reputation team.

We need a strategic, confident and detail-oriented senior manager who can help clients navigate complex business and reputational challenges, strengthen stakeholder trust and communicate effectively across earned, digital and integrated channels.

You will bring an eagle eye for detail, an innate curiosity, and the ability to translate complex issues into clear, relevant communications.

The ideal candidate will combine strong corporate and reputation communications experience with an understanding of financial services organizations, financial communications and the issues shaping the sector.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of the Canadian traditional, social and digital media landscape and how audiences engage across channels, with 5–7 years’ experience in public relations, corporate communications or integrated communications; experience in financial services, financial communications or another highly regulated sector is preferred
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments, competing deadlines and integrated teams while maintaining a high standard of quality
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to translate complex corporate, reputational and financial topics into clear, accurate and compelling narratives tailored to different audiences and adapted across earned, owned, social and paid channels
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and delegate assignments, manage short-term campaigns, provide clear direction to junior team members, maintain rigorous quality control and accurately evaluate work before it reaches clients
  • Demonstrated ability to develop audience-centric reputation strategies, pairing compelling earned-first ideas and strong media relations expertise with integrated distribution across owned, social and paid channels to build stakeholder trust and advance client objectives
  • Ability to act as a trusted day-to-day client contact, anticipate needs, contribute informed counsel and manage scopes, budgets, resourcing and billing across evolving workstreams
  • A collaborative mindset, with the ability to partner with creative, digital, social, paid media and insights specialists to develop integrated programs spanning corporate positioning, executive profiling, thought leadership and issues management; build strong client and colleague relationships; and demonstrate behaviours consistent with Edelman’s values and Code of Ethics and Business Conduct
  • A bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, business or another relevant field from an accredited college or university is preferred

Pay Range: $70,000 - $85,000 CAD/yr.

An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
