Payroll Specialist, Business Services

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Fiscal Manager, performs specialized payroll functions for certificated and classified employees. Responsible for accurate and timely payroll processing, payroll records, deductions, retirement reporting, tax reporting, and related payroll activities.

Requirements / Qualifications

Equivalent of the completion of the twelfth grade, supplemented by course work or training in payroll or general accounting obtained through a community college, trade, or correspondence school. May be substituted by experience of a closely related nature. Three years of increasingly responsible payroll/accounting experience.
