About the role

What you’ll do:

Job Summary
The Lead Product Engineer – PLM Administration is responsible for the engineering administration, governance, and continuous improvement of the Industrial Control Division's Product Lifecycle Management environment, with primary responsibility for ENOVIA and related engineering data and change-management processes. The role ensures controlled access, effective approval workflows and routes, accurate product configuration and documentation, disciplined engineering change execution, and consistent application of ICD engineering governance procedures across global design centers and manufacturing sites. As an engineering-facing PLM administrator and subject-matter expert, the position connects Engineering, IT, ERP/master-data processes, manufacturing plants, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve engineering data maturity, change-cycle performance, compliance, and user effectiveness. The role also provides lead-level Product Line Engineering Support for Industrial Control products, including Push Buttons, Selector Switches, Contactors, Starters, Overloads, Variable Frequency Drives, and Reduced Voltage Soft Starters, supporting sustaining engineering, product changes, VAVE/Cost Out, obsolescence, manufacturing and supplier issues, verification and validation, certification support, and product stewardship throughout the product lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities
1. Serve as the ICD engineering administrator and subject-matter expert for ENOVIA and related product lifecycle, engineering data, part-number generation, OnePart, workflow, and legacy product-data systems.
2. Administer engineering access to ENOVIA by reviewing and approving access requests from an engineering and business-need perspective, coordinating required authorizations, maintaining role and group assignments, and supporting timely onboarding, transfer, and removal of users.
3. Create, configure, test, deploy, document, and maintain ENOVIA approval routes, workflow templates, member lists, approval rules, and routing logic for engineering changes, product data, and documentation across existing and new product lines.
4. Monitor ENOVIA workflow execution and resolve or coordinate resolution of routing, approval, access, lifecycle-state, ownership, and engineering-data issues with Engineering, IT, master-data, and business process owners.
5. Lead engineering participation in ENOVIA upgrades, migrations, integrations, user-acceptance testing, defect resolution, process changes, and implementation of capabilities such as MCO/MBOM and part-family structures.
6. Own the engineering content, revision control, deployment, training, periodic review, and continuous improvement of applicable 468-series engineering governance procedures, including engineering change levels, Change Request, Change Order, ECO route/cycle management, engineering documentation, and related governance requirements.
7. Coordinate ICD engineering-governance reviews to ensure that procedures, work instructions, approval matrices, and system practices remain aligned, controlled, auditable, practical, and consistently applied across technical centers and manufacturing sites.

Additional Information:

8. Develop and deliver role-based ENOVIA, engineering data management, change management, and governance training; maintain training materials and records; coach users; and provide ongoing support to improve process adoption and compliance.
9. Establish and monitor divisional engineering data and change-management KPIs and dashboards, including CR/CO backlog, aged backlog, days in backlog, workflow performance, engineering data maturity, and data-health measures; lead corrective actions and backlog-reduction plans with engineering and plant stakeholders.
10. Provide engineering lead support for new and existing products throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring product designs meet application, performance, manufacturing, quality, cost, reliability, and customer requirements for Industrial Control products, including Push Buttons, Selector Switches, Contactors, Starters, Overloads, Variable Frequency Drives, and Reduced Voltage Soft Starters.
11. Evaluate, develop, and implement product and design changes to improve manufacturability, reduce cost, enable material or component substitutions, improve quality and reliability, and address customer or product line needs.
12. Provide Product Line Support (PLS) for assigned products throughout their lifecycle, including troubleshooting product issues, implementing design improvements, supporting manufacturing, and maintaining product technical integrity.
13. Develop and execute Design Verification Plans and Reports (DVP&R) and coordinate reliability, performance, environmental, and product integrity testing with internal and external laboratories to validate product changes and new product introductions.
14. Support Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) and Cost Out initiatives by identifying, evaluating, and validating design, material, component, supplier, and manufacturing opportunities while maintaining product performance, reliability, safety, and compliance.
15. Manage product deviations, engineering changes, and product configuration updates for assigned product lines, ensuring technical documentation, requirements, and released product definitions remain accurate and aligned. #LI-DG2
