Raw Material Planner - Greensboro

We are seeking a motivated and analytical Raw Material Planner to join the USCA Powder Supply Chain team at our Greensboro, NC, manufacturing facility, reporting to the USCA Raw Material Planning Supervisor. You are responsible for purchasing and coordinating raw materials required to support manufacturing while balancing material availability, inventory, supplier performance, and working capital. You will work closely with Operations, Production Planning, Procurement, suppliers, and other Supply Chain partners to proactively identify material risks, resolve shortages, and maintain a reliable supply for the Greensboro operation.

Responsibilities:

• Create, release, and manage raw material purchase orders to support production requirements and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
• Review MRP requirements, production demand, inventory positions, lead times, and planning parameters to determine raw material purchasing requirements.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding purchase orders, delivery schedules, shortages, expedites, lead times, availability, and other supply constraints.
• Monitor raw material inventory and incoming supply to proactively identify shortages, excess inventory, late deliveries, and potential production risks.
• Partner with Production Planning, Operations, Procurement, Quality, Logistics, and other Supply Chain teams to resolve material constraints and support manufacturing priorities.
• Maintain accurate purchasing and planning information within ERP/MRP systems, including purchase orders, delivery dates, supplier commitments, and relevant planning parameters.
• Support inventory optimization, aged and excess inventory reduction, supplier performance, and working capital improvement initiatives.
• Participate in shortage reviews, root cause analysis, process standardization, and continuous improvement activities across Raw Material Planning and Purchasing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience in purchasing, material planning, supply chain, inventory management, manufacturing, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems; experience with Oracle, SAP, or similar systems preferred.
• Understanding of purchasing, inventory management, material requirements planning, and manufacturing supply processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the ability to analyze inventory, demand, purchasing, and supplier information.
•  Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• APICS/ASCM certification, Power BI experience, or Lean/continuous improvement experience preferred.
