About Our Family

We're a dynamic, warm household with two little ones, and two golden retrievers and a whole lot of heart. One parent works from home as an event planner — which sounds flexible, but in practice means a schedule full of calls, client meetings, and occasional travel. The other parent works a structured shift schedule that keeps things moving in a rhythm, but means there are stretches where one parent is holding it all together solo.

Our home is lively and unpredictable in the best way. The afternoons are where things tend to pile up — the mental load, the household tasks, the kids needing attention — and that's exactly where we're looking for support. We've had household help before and learned a lot from that experience. We are looking for someone who walks in, reads the room, and gets things in order without needing a checklist handed to them every time. We value trust and consistency.

We move fast, and we like our home to feel calm and organized even when life is full. We love systems and are hoping to build upon what we have started to stay on top of things, and we're looking for someone who will slot right in and help us keep everything running smoothly. We host guests a handful of times a year, and value a home that feels reset and ready -- without either of us having to spend evenings catching up on chores.

We're a friendly household that respects professional boundaries. Because we're both home during working hours, we're not looking for someone who needs constant direction or social engagement -- we want someone who can read the room, get things done, and genuinely take ownership of the home environment.

Who You Are and What We're Looking For

You are a seasoned, proactive household professional who takes genuine pride in running a home well. You don't wait to be told what needs doing — you notice it, you handle it, and you move on to the next thing. You're the kind of person who thrives on creating systems, maintaining order, and making a household feel calm and functional even on chaotic days.

You're warm and comfortable around young children — but in an easy, natural way that makes parents feel at ease. You understand healthy professional boundaries and bring a steady, grounded presence to the home. You're in this for the long haul. You're not looking for a stepping stone — you want to become a trusted, integral part of a family's life and grow with them over time.

You communicate clearly, don't mind a quick text to check in or confirm a task, and you're someone who earns trust quickly because you consistently follow through.

The ideal candidate is calm and professional when supporting the household. You're present — not distracted or on your phone. You respect everyone's time, including your own. You're comfortable with dogs, and you bring a level of organization and attention to detail that makes the home feel effortlessly well-managed. You're trustworthy with children and take that responsibility seriously. Above all, you do good work because it matters to you.
