Job Description

We are looking for a seasoned technical Project Manager and Scrum Master to lead end-to-end delivery of two strategic initiatives: SpendIQ, our AI-powered Supplier Spend Intelligence platform, and a Machine Learning predictive model implementation for People Services. The role owns delivery, tracking, reporting and financial governance for both projects. It works closely with business PMs, product owners, development leads and executive sponsors.

This is a dual role. As Project Manager, you will own scope, schedule, budget, risk and stakeholder reporting. As Scrum Master, you will facilitate the agile delivery teams, run Scrum ceremonies, remove impediments, and keep sprint execution visible and predictable. Hands-on experience with project budgets and financial management is required.

SpendIQ – Supplier Spend Intelligence (~50%)

The MVP for SpendIQ is live with Finance and Procurement users and we're current planning a second Phase. The PM will drive Phase 2 delivery, including Contract Intelligence Agent enhancements, dashboards and conversational analytics, data pipeline and accuracy improvements, and production stability. The PM will also support adoption, training and value realization tracking against the program's savings targets. The work spans IT, Finance, Accounting, Procurement and Data & Analytics, and is overseen by a formal Steering Committee.

Sourcing & Selection – Predictive Modeling (~50%)

Serve as the technical PM for the Sourcing & Selection implementation through its 2027 milestones. Responsibilities include vendor engagement, engagement with internal technology groups including data science, data architects, and HRIS teams, project planning, SSO and integration coordination, and IT tracking, in partnership with the business PM under an agreed RACI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project leadership: Own end-to-end technical delivery of SpendIQ Phase 2 and Sourcing & Selection.

Project Management

  • Execution and cadence: Set up and enforce a consistent execution cadence with development leadership, including release readiness and staging/deployment checklists.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Partner with business leads, the business PM, product owners and executive sponsors. Prepare Steering Committee materials and keep cross-functional teams aligned.
  • Role clarity: Maintain the RACI between the technical Project Manager and business Project Manager to avoid duplicate ownership.
  • Project budget and financial management: Own the budgets for both projects end to end. That includes building and maintaining budget and forecast trackers on the standard template, reconciling actuals against forecast, managing the monthly forecast cadence ahead of actuals posting, tracking CapEx/OpEx allocations and vendor/SOW spend, and preparing Project Change Requests (PCRs) for scope or budget variances. Partner with Finance on submissions and clearly explain variances to leadership.
  • Schedule management: Build and maintain integrated project plans, including data ingestion, pipeline readiness, release and go-live timelines.
  • Vendor and Technology coordination: Manage vendor and internal technology implementation partner deliverables against SOW commitments.
  • Governance and intake: Coordinate required reviews (e.g., AI intake, Cybersecurity, ARB, SSO/access) and maintain audit readiness.
  • Adoption and value: Support UAT, training, onboarding and value tracking with Finance and Procurement users.
  • Risk and issue management: Maintain RAID logs, escalate early and drive mitigation plans.
  • Reporting: Produce accurate weekly status reports and dashboards (overall status, accomplishments, next steps, risks and milestones).
  • Documentation: Maintain project documentation in SharePoint and JIRA.

Scrum Master

  • Agile ceremonies: Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews/demos and retrospectives for the SpendIQ and Sourcing & Selection delivery teams.
  • Backlog management: Partner with product owners to keep backlogs prioritized and refined, with clear user stories, acceptance criteria and definition of done.
  • Sprint tracking: Ensure all work is tracked in JIRA. Maintain sprint boards, velocity, burndown and release metrics to support accurate forecasting and status reporting.
  • Impediment removal: Identify and remove blockers, manage cross-team dependencies, and escalate when needed.
  • Team coaching: Coach team members on agile practices and balance agile rigor with practical tracking and reporting needs, without adding unnecessary overhead.
  • Continuous improvement: Turn retrospective outcomes into concrete process improvements.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of IT project management experience, ideally with financial, procurement or ERP systems and enterprise SaaS implementations.
  • Experience delivering AI, ML, analytics or data platform projects (e.g., data pipelines, BigQuery/GCP, agent or prompt accuracy testing).
  • Experience implementing SaaS platforms, including vendor management, SSO/identity integration and release management.
  • Solid understanding of procurement, sourcing, and accounting processes.
  • Experience with ServiceNow, JIRA/Confluence, Apptio/TargetProcess, Oracle EBS/Cloud and Coupa.
  • Proven project budget and financial management experience, including building and managing project budgets, forecasting against actuals, CapEx/OpEx tracking, vendor/SOW spend management, and Project Change Requests (PCRs).
  • 3+ years as a Scrum Master on agile delivery teams, facilitating ceremonies, managing backlogs and tracking sprints in JIRA.
  • Proven track record of performing both Project Manager and Scrum Master responsibilities at the same time across multiple projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including executive-level status reporting.
  • Proven ability to build stakeholder relationships and manage expectations.
  • Product experience and Phenom experience are a plus.
  • PMP certification required or strongly preferred. A Scrum certification (CSM, PSM or SAFe SSM) is required or strongly preferred.
