Mojave Unified School District is a school district in Eastern Kern County that serves the town of Mojave and the city of California City, California.

Mojave Unified School District consists of 3 Elementary Schools, 1 High School, 1 Junior-Senior High School, and 1 Middle School.

Requirements / Qualifications

Credential Requirement

1) Valid Emergency 30-Day Substitute Permit or Clear Teaching Credential (multiple subject, single subject, education specialist)
2) Placement on the KCSOS County-Wide Substitute Teacher Eligibility List

All substitute teachers will have to attend a brief in-person interview.

Daily Rate (for all regular assignments of 4 hours or more)

Minimum Daily Rate (For assignments of less than 4 hours)
$125.00
Preferred Substitute Daily Rate (Inquire for requirements to qualify)
$260.00
Long-Term Assignment Daily Rate (Paid for assignments more than 20 consecutive days for same teacher -- rate begins on 21st day)
