Senior Product Manager, Pricing
About the role
TransferGo is a growing fintech scale-up on a mission to champion financial freedom with care. We strive to provide tailored, more affordable financial services that make people's hard-earned money go further. Now in our 14th year, with close to 400 employees in offices across Europe and the UK, we’re crafting a brilliant, relevant product that makes a difference in people's lives and the well-being of their families.
We’ve come this far by building a talented, diverse workforce on a fair culture and our strong values. Having this strong team of employees, we can serve those who really need our product to make their lives better.
About the role
We’re building a new pricing engine and the tools around it. Some of those tools started as AI prototypes made by our product team. You’ll own where it goes next.
Our Chief Commercial Officer sets pricing strategy and price levels. You own the pricing product: the engine and tools that set prices, the experiments that test them, and how customers see prices in the app. You’ll sit in the Send area, which owns the whole transfer experience. Pricing analysts sit in the Data team, and you’ll work closely with them. You’ll write your own SQL and read your own experiment results. When the team needs a tool, you’ll often prototype it before engineering builds it.
We hire builders. Our PMs prototype with AI before engineering builds anything. Operations people automate their own work. If you can fix something today, you don’t open a ticket for it.
We all use AI in our daily work, so in the interview we’ll ask you to show us something you built with it. We care more about how fast you’re learning and what you’ve made than about where you’re starting from.
What success looks like after six months
- The CCO, Finance and engineering agree on your roadmap for the pricing product.
- The remaining prices have moved onto the new engine, and the old setups are retired.
- Price tests run on tooling you own, from setup to readout, without manual fixes along the way.
- The team uses at least one pricing tool or check you built every week.
What you’ll be doing
- Own the roadmap for the pricing engine and its tools, and build the checks that keep every live price correct.
- Make price tests quick and safe to run, from setup to readout, so the CCO and Finance can decide to scale, hold or stop with confidence.
- Own the tests of how prices are shown in the app. Read conversion, retention and gross profit together, so a price that wins volume doesn’t quietly lose money.
- Work with the app teams on how prices, fees, promotions and cashback appear. Customers should know what they’ll pay before they send, and promotions should bring in customers who stay.
- Work with Compliance on fee disclosure, Payments on partner costs and Finance on margin.
- Build and extend pricing tools yourself with AI.
What we’d love from you
- 5+ years as a product manager, with at least 2 of them owning pricing, monetisation or another revenue-critical product.
- Experience in a price-transparent, low-margin category such as payments, money transfers, travel or marketplaces. You think in basis points as easily as in percentages.
- You design and read pricing experiments yourself: the hypothesis, the sample size, the decision rule, and an honest read when the result is unclear.
- You write your own SQL and can model unit economics per transfer: fee, FX margin, promotion cost and partner cost.
- You’re comfortable in product analytics tools such as Amplitude or Tableau, and in AI build tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.
- You’ve built a tool with AI that other people rely on, and you can show it to us.
- You’ve worked closely with engineers on systems where one wrong change has a real cost.
- You can disagree with a commercial leader using data and work together to a better answer.
- You write clearly in fluent English.
Even better if you have
- Cross-border payments or FX experience.
- Experience with pricing comprehension: how the way a price is shown changes what people do.
- Familiarity with the regions our customers send to and from: Central and Eastern Europe, Türkiye, Central Asia and Africa.
- Experience with experimentation and feature-flag tools, or dbt.
