Responsibilities:

Under the direction and supervision of the Education Specialist (e.g., teacher) and the behavior department (e.g., BCBA), the ASL Language Support Paraeducator will provide consistent, direct ASL communication, language modeling, and language reinforcement for a Deaf or Hard of Hearing student throughout the school day. The ASL Language Support Paraeducator is also responsible for the day-to-day implementation of students' individualized education and behavior programs, and accurate data collection of the student(s) under their care.

Required Qualifications

Associate of Arts (AA) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in ASL, Deaf Studies preferred
ASLPI Level 4 or higher or SLPI:ASL Advanced or higher
Ability to understand and communicate in ASL at a natural conversational rate across routine, social, academic, and school-relat
