QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. ENTRANCE QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination equivalent to: Ability to read and write. One (1) year of food service experience is desirable. Ability to pass the District Proficiency Examination at the level appropriate to the job classification. KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: KNOWLEDGE OF: Safety and sanitation procedure related to food preparation and serving. Care and use of standard food service equipment. Method of quantity food preparation, serving and storage is desirable. Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy. Proper lifting techniques. ABILITY TO: Cashier and to complete daily records. Follow oral and/or written instructions. Learn and follow health and sanitation requirements. Maintain food service equipment and areas in a clean and sanitary condition. Meet schedules and time lines. Maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted during the performance of required duties.
