Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) Instructional Assistant - Washington Middle School (Temporary Position) - PC 2940

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Site Administrator, support a certificated teacher by
reinforcing instruction for individuals or small groups of students in a music or art
education setting. Assist with the preparation of instructional materials and
implementation of lesson plans; perform routine clerical and support tasks for
instructional staff; and clean, maintain, and set up equipment used in music or art
classes and related activities.

Requirements / Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
-High School Diploma or equivalent
-One (1) year of experience working within an educational or organized learning environment
Desired Qualifications:
- Some college-level coursework or work experience in the area of music/art education, child development, and recreation is preferred
-Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate

NOTE:
- Salary Placement: External candidates cannot place past step D. Internal candidates will be placed based on CSEA Article VIII (8) of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Benefits: This position includes a full benefit package of Medical, Dental, and Vision for employees and eligible dependents.
- Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM (7.5 hours with 30 minute lunch). (TEMPORARY Position)
