Junior Sourcing Coordinator

Sources the meeting or event venue and executes venue contract and budget - smaller and less complex events than Sourcing Manager

What You’ll Do 

• Review and understand meeting needs and ensure programs exceed requirements 
• Negotiate pricing and other package details with suppliers to support the client while meeting their savings and spend expectations 
• Support RFPs with hotels and suppliers to secure room blocks and other logistical needs 
• May participate in re-negotiations or cancellation negotiations as needed 
• Maintain accurate records and files, collaborate with accounting to supervise billing, expenses, and savings negotiations 
• Evaluate and supervise program impact and outcomes, build a plan for continuous improvement  
• Proactively develop positive relationships with multiple members of the client team, suppliers, Amex GBT team and support departments 

What We're Looking For 

• Knowledge of domestic and international destinations a plus 
• Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office suite 
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills 
• A quick learner with the ability to use technology tools 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
• Strong customer service skills and positive demeanor 
• Time management, prioritization, and organizational skills 
• Agile and adaptable to changes 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team within a virtual environment 
• Should be comfortable to work in APAC/EMEA Shifts.
