About the role

Lead transformational reform across NSW’s rail access industry

You may have been part of some big projects before, but this work is legacy-building.

This is a significant leadership opportunity for a program director to shape and deliver a portfolio of reforms transforming rail access across NSW. You’ll help create greater clarity, accountability and efficiency across the industry while supporting government priorities, strengthening the NSW supply chain and unlocking commercial value.

In this role, you’ll:

Lead the end-to-end delivery of a complex, multidisciplinary portfolio spanning freight, technology, regulatory, operational, infrastructure and commercial reform, ensuring initiatives are delivered to scope, time, budget and intended benefits.

Provide strategic direction across interconnected programs, managing critical pathways, dependencies, financial performance and risk while responding to changing priorities and removing barriers to delivery.

Build trusted relationships across Government, Transport for NSW, operating agencies and the freight rail industry, navigating complex stakeholder and governance environments to influence decisions, align priorities and deliver sustainable reform.

Lead and integrate cross-functional teams, establishing clear accountability and a high-performance culture while driving change, embedding new ways of working and providing transparent advice to senior sponsors and governance forums.
