- Monitor and improve asset safety, uptime, session reliability, failure trends, repeat faults and maintenance compliance.
- Lead medium and long-term asset strategies and lifecycle plans, including priorities and investment recommendations.
- Set incident-management, escalation and problem-solving frameworks for material or recurring asset issues.
- Own contractor, supplier and OEM performance frameworks across safety, quality, response times, service delivery and whole-of-life cost.
- Ensure asset registers and maintenance data are complete, accurate and governed to support safe, compliant and cost-effective operations.
- Be accountable for budgets, forecasts, accruals, purchase orders, cost management and operational reporting within approved delegations.
- Lead, coach and create clear accountability across the Reliability Team, establishing KPIs, service levels and governance rhythms.
- Partner with Engineering, Risk, Deployment, Commercial, Finance and the wider Energy Value Chain to support commissioning, handover, business planning and portfolio priorities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in an engineering discipline such as Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or Process Engineering are preferred.
- 7+ years’ experience in Engineering Services or Facilities Maintenance, with demonstrated people-leadership experience.
- Experience developing strategy, governance and performance frameworks across commercial, compliance, process and systems requirements.
- Proven ability to identify and drive change through structured continuous-improvement programs.
- Experience governing programs, projects or business-improvement initiatives delivered through internal teams and service partners.
- Strong management reporting, analytical and data-driven decision-making capability, including systematic problem solving and root-cause analysis.
- Solid understanding of procurement, contract management, contractor performance, project delivery and risk-based maintenance principles.
- Working knowledge of risk engineering, risk management, safety, compliance and operational excellence requirements.
- Experience with reliability or operational leadership involving electrical and mechanical assets; EV charging, solar, battery or high-voltage exposure is highly desirable.
