Your Role
Join Capgemini’s growing Cloud and Custom Applications team in Melbourne and help organisations accelerate their cloud transformation journey. As an AWS Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and automating secure, scalable, and resilient AWS environments that enable clients to modernise and innovate with confidence.
Working across a range of enterprise projects, you will be responsible for designing and implementing AWS landing zones, establishing cloud governance and security controls, and building infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code. You will collaborate closely with architects, developers, and client stakeholders to deliver robust cloud platforms, drive automation through DevOps practices, and support the migration and modernisation of applications onto AWS.
This role also offers the opportunity to work with emerging technologies, including Generative AI solutions on Amazon Bedrock, helping clients unlock new business value through AI-driven applications and services. What you will do
• Design and implement AWS landing zones, including account structure, networking, security guardrails and governance
• Build and maintain infrastructure across EC2, VPC, load balancing and auto scaling
• Automate everything as code using CloudFormation and CDK
• Work with Amazon Bedrock to support GenAI workloads and integrations
• Embed into delivery teams and uplift DevOps and SDLC practices, including CI/CD pipelines, source control and environment management
Your Profile
- Solid hands-on AWS engineering experience across core compute, networking and security services
- Proven experience designing and building landing zones in enterprise environments
- Strong infrastructure-as-code skills (CloudFormation, CDK)
- Working knowledge of Amazon Bedrock
- Familiarity with SDLC processes and DevOps ways of working, including CI/CD tooling and automated testing
Nice to have
• Experience building AI applications, agents or workflows
• Application modernization experience (re-platforming, containerization, refactoring legacy workloads)
• AWS certifications (any level — Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer or specialty)
• Australian citizenship, which enables work on security-cleared and government engagements
