Truck Mixer Driver

Salary: £45,000

Locations: Witney / Carterton / Kidlington / Oxford / Bicester

Smiths Concrete has been delivering ready-mix concrete across Oxfordshire and Warwickshire for over 70 years, and we’re looking for Class C Drivers to join our team across Oxfordshire.

You’ll be making local deliveries to construction sites, generally within a 20-mile radius of the plant, so there’s no working away from home.

What will you be doing?

Your main job is simple: deliver our concrete safely, on time and with great service.

Day to day, you’ll:

• Deliver concrete to customers and construction sites across the local area.
• Carry out daily checks and keep your truck clean, safe and roadworthy.
• Complete the necessary driver paperwork and vehicle records.
• Follow road transport, working time and Health & Safety requirements.
• Look after your vehicle and report any defects or issues.
• Provide friendly and professional service when dealing with customers.
• Make sure environmental procedures around waste, water and dust are followed.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone who:

• Holds a valid Class C / HGV driving licence.
• Takes safety seriously.
• Is reliable and happy working independently.
• Takes pride in looking after their vehicle.
• Is friendly and professional with customers.
• Has a good understanding of driver and road transport requirements.
