About the Role
Join a trial-focused civil litigation practice as an associate with 7 or more years of experience, or as a partner. You will handle matters from inception through trial and gain substantial hands-on courtroom experience.
What You'll Do
Manage civil litigation matters from inception through trial.
Draft discovery requests and responses, and prepare substantive motions.
Take and defend depositions.
Participate in trials as first or second chair.
Communicate directly with clients, insurance carriers, and claims handlers.
What We're Looking For
At least 7 years of post-bar experience in civil litigation or transferable courtroom practice.
Active admission to the New York State Bar and experience practicing in New York.
Insurance defense experience, including motion practice and depositions.
Strong legal writing skills and a demonstrated interest in trial work.
Comfort with a 2,000-hour annual billable requirement and an on-site work arrangement.
First- or second-chair trial experience is relevant.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range: $150,000 to $200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
On-site in Fishkill, New York. Candidates should be able to commute to the office.
