Location: Japan

As a SAP PP Consultant, you will be responsible for leading end-to-end product planning and production processes within a global manufacturing environment. You will design and configure SAP PP modules to support production planning, capacity planning, scheduling, and shop floor operations, ensuring seamless integration with other SAP modules such as MM, SD, and FI. Your role will involve conducting gap analyses, driving configuration changes, and facilitating requirement workshops with production and planning stakeholders. You will also manage rollout activities, ensuring that new SAP PP enhancements are deployed smoothly across multiple sites while maintaining high data integrity and system performance. In addition, you will support user training, create documentation, and provide post-implementation support to drive adoption and continuous improvement of the production planning landscape.

Requirements

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀

• Analyze business processes and gather functional requirements for SAP PP across multiple production sites.

• Design, configure, and test SAP PP components including Bill of Materials, Routing, Work Centers, and Production Orders.

• Perform gap analysis and propose solutions to align SAP PP with industry best practices and client-specific needs.

• Lead the rollout of SAP PP enhancements, coordinating with technical teams for data migration and system integration.

• Develop and execute test plans, including unit tests, integration tests, and user acceptance tests for SAP PP transactions.

• Prepare comprehensive documentation of configuration settings, business processes, and standard operating procedures.

• Conduct training sessions for end-users, creating training materials and user guides tailored to various stakeholder groups.

• Provide ongoing post-implementation support and troubleshooting for SAP PP issues, ensuring minimal business disruption.

• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for production planning efficiency and data quality.

• Collaborate with project managers, functional leads, and IT teams to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met on schedule.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗮 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗙𝗶𝘁

• 5+ years of experience as a SAP PP consultant in industrial or manufacturing environments.

• Strong knowledge of SAP PP configuration, master data management, and integration with MM, SD, and FI modules.

• Proven track record of leading successful SAP PP rollouts across multiple facilities or regions.

• Hands‑on experience with SAP HANA or SAP S/4HANA PP modules and advanced planning solutions.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills applied to complex production scenarios.

• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Experience in developing training materials and conducting workshops for end-users and functional teams.

• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies and the ability to adapt in fast‑moving environments.

• Strong documentation skills, with a portfolio of configuration and test documentation samples.

• Fluency in Japanese and English, both written and spoken, facilitating collaboration across local and international teams.
