About the role

The Company

Founded in 2009 by Audrey McLoghlin, Frank & Eileen set out to reinvent the women's button-up using the finest Italian fabrics often reserved for menswear. Named in honor of Audrey's beloved Irish grandparents, the brand has grown slowly and intentionally into a woman-owned, woman-led leader in sustainability and slow fashion. After seventeen years of steady growth through wholesale partnerships and direct-to-consumer e-commerce, Frank & Eileen recently opened its first US flagship store—an Irish country house on Madison Avenue, NYC. This new chapter continues the brand's legacy of using entrepreneurship as a force for good while delivering generationless style to its beloved community of customers—all from our HQ in sunny California.

The Role

We’re looking for a seasoned, thoughtful Head of Accounting to help steward the financial foundation of a multi-channel business. This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who loves building strong teams, clean processes, and scalable systems—while staying close enough to the details to ensure everything adds up.

You’ll partner closely with the CFO and leaders across the company to ensure financial integrity, operational excellence, and readiness for what’s next. The ideal candidate is extremely hands-on, with deep experience in complex revenue streams (Direct-to-Consumer, Retail and Wholesale), inventory accounting, and omni-channel environments.

Responsibilities

Own the Numbers

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close with precision and efficiency
  • Deliver clear, GAAP-compliant financial statements and management reporting
  • Translate financial results into meaningful insights, trends, and opportunities

Run World-Class Accounting Operations

  • Oversee a current staff of three - general ledger and accounts payable.
  • Ensure accurate revenue recognition across wholesale, DTC, retail, and other channels
  • Own inventory accounting, cost of goods sold, reserves, and reconciliations
  • Establish and maintain strong accounting policies and documentation

Build Strong Controls & Partnerships

  • Design and maintain internal controls that support a growing, multi-channel business
  • Lead annual audits and manage relationships with external auditors and advisors
  • Partner with sales tax / income tax providers to support filings and compliance

Scale Systems & Processes

  • Own and optimize accounting systems and tools (ERP, reporting, expenses)
  • Drive continuous improvements, simplifying workflows, increasing automation, and improving accuracy
  • Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and Technology teams on system enhancements
  • Close collaboration with FP&A to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and forecasting

Lead & Inspire

  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team
  • Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Operations, Sales, and Executive Leadership
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning alongside the CFO

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • 8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including people leadership
  • Deep expertise in GAAP, revenue recognition, and inventory accounting
  • Proven success, leading audits and managing external partners
  • Experience in retail, apparel, consumer goods, and e-commerce
  • ERP experience (Full Circle, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
  • Background in high-growth entrepreneurial environments
  • Analytical thinker with hands-on execution ability
  • High attention to detail and strong ownership mindset
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving, growth environment
  • Collaborative leader with strong business partnership skills
  • Process-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset

Salary Range of $175,000-$200,000
