Associate Software Engineer

We have an opportunity for an Associate Software Engineer to join our Universal Asset Insights team in Bangalore, reporting to the Senior Manager, Engineering. In this role, you will help build and evolve Infoblox Universal Asset Insights, a cloud-first platform that automates discovery and analysis of IP-based and non-IP-based assets across public clouds, on-premises networks, OT/IoT environments, and third-party applications. Collaborating closely with Product Management, Architecture, and cross-functional engineering teams, you will contribute to scalable microservices, data pipelines, and AI-powered capabilities that give our customers real-time, actionable visibility into their hybrid environments—while using our agentic AI development stack to boost productivity and reliability across the software development lifecycle.

Be a Contributor — What You’ll Do

  • Develop cloud-hosted microservices and data pipelines for asset ingestion, transformation, and normalization across hybrid and multi-cloud environments
  • Build extensible integrations, including low-code/no-code patterns, that onboard new asset sources quickly and securely
  • Implement containerized, event-driven services using Docker and Kubernetes that meet scalability and reliability goals
  • Design and implement APIs and data models that expose rich asset and topology data to downstream analytics and user experiences
  • Use AI-assisted tools and agentic frameworks (LLM coding assistants, agents/sub-agents, MCP-style servers) to accelerate coding, testing, and documentation
  • Contribute to architecture reviews and design discussions to keep the platform secure, observable, maintainable, and cost-efficient
  • Implement and tune data storage patterns across relational, time-series, and NoSQL databases to support performant querying and analytics
  • Partner with SRE and Operations on observability (metrics, logs, traces), SLIs/SLOs, and incident response
  • Integrate asset visibility with Infoblox core services (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) and adjacent ecosystems such as CTEM, CAASM, and ITSM
  • Stay current on trends in asset intelligence, ETL, streaming, no-code/low-code, and agentic AI, and share ideas that improve developer productivity

Be Prepared — What You Bring

  • 1- 2 years of professional software development experience in Golang/Go, with exposure to backend services
  • Foundational experience with microservices or distributed systems using Docker and Kubernetes on a major cloud platform
  • Basic understanding of data modeling and schema design across relational, time-series, or NoSQL databases
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures and streaming technologies such as Kafka is a plus
  • Interest or early hands-on experience with AI/agentic frameworks or AI-assisted development tools (code assistants, test generation, intelligent search)
  • Exposure to performance debugging and troubleshooting in test or production-like environments
  • Good understanding of core networking concepts (L2/L3, TCP/IP) and security fundamentals; familiarity with DNS, DHCP, IPAM, CTEM, CAASM, or ITSM a plus
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across global, cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field

Be Successful — Your Path

First 90 Days: Immerse in our culture, connect with mentors (Blox Buddies), and map the systems and meet with key stakeholders that rely on your work. Discuss and create short/long term goals.

Six Months:

  • Own well-scoped features or services in Universal Asset Insights, from implementation through unit testing and code reviews
  • Build solid understanding of our asset-ingestion and normalization pipelines and contribute targeted improvements to robustness and efficiency
  • Implement or extend at least one integration or connector that onboards a new asset source or improves data quality
  • Establish consistent use of AI-assisted tools in your workflow and share effective patterns with teammates

One Year:

  • Serve as a subject-matter go-to for specific components (microservice, pipeline segment, or integration module) within the Universal Asset Insights platform
  • Lead design and delivery of small-to-medium architectural improvements that enhance platform extensibility, performance, or observability
  • Drive measurable improvements in code quality or reliability (higher test coverage, reduced defect rates) using agentic/AI capabilities in the SDLC
  • Partner with senior engineers and Product Management on prototypes and feature enhancements that expand the value of asset intelligence

Belong — Your Community

Our culture thrives on inclusion, rewarding the bold ideas, curiosity, and creativity that move us forward. In a community where every voice counts, continuous learning is the norm. So, whether you code, create, sell, or care for customers, you’ll grow and belong here.

  • Comprehensive health coverage, generous PTO, and flexible work options
  • Learning opportunities, career-mobility programs, and leadership workshops
  • Sixteen paid volunteer hours each year, global employee resource groups, and a “No Jerks” policy that keeps collaboration healthy
