The Global Brand Team:

We run Hasbro's brands as businesses. Six global categories, each with a named owner, a number and the authority to go after it. We decide what gets made, what gets funded and what gets stopped, and we answer for the result.

We are builders and operators in equal measure. The work spans the consumer insight that starts a line, the product and pricing decisions that shape its margin, and the commercial execution that puts it in someone's hands. The brands are iconic. The job is to make them grow.

About The Role:

We are seeking a Vice President, Board Games to own the global Board Games P&L, a portfolio built on some of the most recognized play experiences in the world, including Monopoly, Jenga, Connect Four, The Game of Life, Clue and Twister. You will lead a team of twelve and report to the SVP, Global Brands.

This role owns Hasbro's physical board game and tabletop portfolio. It is distinct from our digital, video game and trading card businesses, which sit elsewhere in the company, though you will partner with them where a brand lives in more than one place.

This role is based in Boston, Massachusetts, and is onsite three days a week, Tuesday through Thursday. Expect to travel approximately 25% of the time.

This is a general management role. You own the revenue, the margin and the operating profit, and you hold the authority to allocate the investment behind them. Product and North America commercial report to you directly, and every other function partners with you. Finance is your copilot: they bring the expertise, the tools and the information, and the decision stays with you.

In your first year we would expect you to land a credible multi-year plan for the portfolio, make explicit calls on which brands to grow and which to run for profit, and show measurable progress on both the top line and the margin. The mandate is to grow a portfolio of category-defining brands while making it meaningfully more profitable.

A day in the life:

  • Own the global Board Games P&L end to end. Carry the revenue, variable margin and operating profit targets, and answer for the return on every dollar you deploy.
  • Set the multi-year strategy for the portfolio, making explicit choices about which brands to grow, which to run for profit and which to stop funding.
  • Read the global landscape and adjust the plan for it, including macroeconomic conditions, trade and tariff policy, input costs, retail consolidation and shifts in consumer spending across regions.
  • Lead with consumer insight, and convert it. Turn what you learn about players and shoppers into specific product, pricing, channel and new business opportunities rather than into research that sits on a shelf.
  • Allocate and spend the investment across marketing, tooling, retail activation and A&P, and hold the line on what earns the next dollar.
  • Drive product excellence, including the consumer price point each item is designed for and the cost structure that supports it.
  • Partner with Commercial on demand planning and forecast accuracy, and with Supply Chain on the productivity and inventory discipline that protects margin after the product is made.
  • Build the innovation pipeline. Define the handful of big bets that set the tone for the line, and the smaller, faster tests that de-risk them.
  • Build and lead the team. Set direction people can act on, give candid feedback close to the moment, develop talent at every level, and create the conditions for people to do their best work.
  • Shape the culture of the business, and represent it to senior leadership and, when called on, to the Hasbro Board of Directors, with an honest read on performance and the plan.

What you'll bring:

  • Direct ownership of a P&L at meaningful scale, with accountability for revenue, margin and operating profit rather than revenue alone.
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in consumer products, toys and games, or a comparably branded and retail-driven business.
  • High-level strategic acumen. A track record of setting multi-year portfolio strategy, choosing where not to invest, and adapting the plan to global market and macroeconomic conditions.
  • Deep fluency in consumer and cultural insight, and demonstrated success translating it into product, pricing and new business opportunities that reached market.
  • A record of reinventing established brands and building new ones, including innovation that moved a number.
  • Strong commercial judgment with major retailers, paired with enough command of product development, cost structure, supply chain and forecasting to challenge the plan rather than receive it.
  • Substantial people leadership experience, including building, developing and retaining teams at multiple levels, and hiring above your own bar.
  • A clear and candid management style. You set direction people can act on, give feedback that is specific and timely, hold a high bar, and build a culture people want to work in.
  • Exceptional ability to influence senior executives and cross-functional partners, and to communicate a plan simply and persuasively at the most senior levels, including to a board.
  • Experience in board games, tabletop or hobby specifically, or in brands that live at the intersection of retail, fandom and culture.
