THE JOB:
As a Cook at Toscana Ristorante & Bar inside Park MGM, you will bring the flavors and traditions of Italian cuisine to life through your culinary skills, passion, and attention to detail. From crafting delicious dishes to maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation, you will play an essential role in creating an unforgettable dining experience. With every plate you prepare, you'll help deliver the warmth of Italian hospitality and create WOW moments our guests will remember long after their visit.
THE STARTING RATE:$27.3727/hr
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
- Maintain solid knowledge of food products and skillfully apply culinary techniques
- Identify and safely use kitchen equipment
- Restock kitchen supplies and food items required for service
- Properly label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation
- Maintain solid menu knowledge and attention to detail with plate presentation
- Assist kitchen leadership and staff in execution of service
- Maintain solid knowledge, understanding and preparation of base sauces, stocks and soups
- Work as a team, assist all guests needs and inquiries
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- 1+ years of prior relevant experience as a cook
- 2+ years of prior relevant experience in a similar resort setting preferred
- Work on-call varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
- Strong line-cooking experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Solid food safety knowledge and a team-oriented mindset
