About the role

Ethos is looking for an experienced operator working directly with Partnerships Leadership to act as a force-multiplier across the highest-priority, highest-urgency initiatives at Ethos. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, revenue & distribution, strategic finance, and operations - partnering directly with cross-functional leadership to scale our Partnerships business.

This role will have high visibility and will require you to solve complex, interesting challenges of a rapidly-scaling company. If you enjoy working in an environment that is fast-paced, analytically rigorous, mission-driven and impact-oriented, read on and get in touch!

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partnerships Leadership, ensuring high-priority, time-sensitive initiatives (often with ambiguous scope and compressed timelines) are executed effectively.
  • New Vertical Strategy – Assess the viability of new verticals and project-manage requirements to achieve product market fit. Serve as the internal SME for new verticals - building deep fluency in partner needs, competitive dynamics, and the product and operational requirements unique to each channel.
  • Digital Partnerships Vertical – Help lead Ethos’s digital partner relationships (Liberty Mutual, Credit Karma, SoFi, and others), owning launch execution, ongoing performance management, and expansion strategy.
  • New Product Compensation – Determine top-of-market compensation structures for new product launches, developed in coordination with Finance, Product, and Insurance stakeholders.
  • Strategic Finance & Analytics – Deliver ad hoc analyses supporting the Partnerships business unit that require advanced financial modeling.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 6+ years of experience across VC/PE, Investment Banking, Strategy, Corporate Development, and/or Project Management
  • Exceptional modeling skills; comfortable building complex, multi-variable models from scratch
  • Strong external & cross-functional communicator - polished and credible in executive-level conversations, and able to translate complex product and commercial concepts clearly
  • Track record of operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with a bias for action
  • Ability to flex between company-level strategic thinking and deep/narrow analytical problem solving
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience taking an AI-native approach to maximizing your capacity.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with life insurance or InsurTech distribution
  • SQL knowledge
  • MBA
