Work Your Way:
At Spreetail, we believe in empowering our employees to work in the way that suits them best through our Work Your Way approach. Each team member has the flexibility to choose where they work most effectively each week—whether that's from home, a coffee shop, or the office. While flexibility is key, we also value the power of in-person connection. That’s why we bring our corporate team together in Lincoln each quarter for a week of intentional collaboration, team building, community engagement, and our All-Hands meeting. It’s the best of both worlds: the freedom to work your way, with meaningful opportunities to connect and grow together. Please scroll to the bottom of the job posting to confirm that your state qualifies for the Work Your Way program.
As Spreetail continues its national expansion, we are looking for a Fulfillment Center Operations Manager to lead our fulfillment operation in Nanticoke, PA. This role is built for an operational leader dedicated to building leaders and cultivating high-performance teams.
You will own end-to-end site performance across safety, inbound processing, inventory control, and outbound distribution. Partnering closely with executive supply chain leadership, you will challenge industry benchmarks for order cycle time, on-time delivery, and fulfillment accuracy while driving a people-first operational culture.
How you will achieve success:
Operational Excellence & Metric Ownership: Drive day-to-day fulfillment execution to exceed targets across core operational pillars: Safety (TRIR/near-miss reporting), Quality (pick/pack accuracy), Speed (dock-to-stock and dock-to-ship windows), and Cost (cost per unit, labor utilization).
Continuous Improvement & SOP Governance: Institutionalize, refine, and champion Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Leverage Lean, Kaizen, or 5S methodologies to identify process bottlenecks, reduce waste, and build scalable fulfillment workflows.
Leadership & Succession Development: Directly coach, mentor, and elevate a bench of Area Managers, Operations Managers, and frontline leads. Establish clear career pathing, run high-impact performance reviews, and build a culture of accountability and psychological safety.
Labor & Capacity Planning: Direct predictive workforce management and shift planning. Balance variable volume surges across peak seasons, international freight intake, and carrier transit cutoffs to consistently hit same-day and next-day shipping commitments.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Inventory Control, Transportation, Maintenance, Facilities, and Safety to remove operational blockers, integrate new warehouse technologies/WMS enhancements, and harmonize network-wide supply chain initiatives.
Culture & Safety Leadership: Serve as the site advocate for workplace safety and team member engagement, cultivating an environment that champions ownership, open communication, and high retention.
What experiences will help you in this role:
Fulfillment & Logistics Acumen: 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in high-volume e-commerce fulfillment, automated distribution centers, or modern manufacturing environments.
Team Scale & People Management: Proven track record leading large, multi-tiered teams (100+ hourly team members and direct supervisory staff) across multiple shifts or facilities.
Talent Evaluation & Acquisition: Demonstrated success assessing top operational talent, running structured interview processes, and building resilient leadership benches.
Analytical Problem Solving: Strong proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), labor tracking systems, and data analytics tools (Excel, Tableau, or Power BI) to diagnose root causes and make real-time data-driven decisions.
Feedback & Communication: Exceptional communication skills with demonstrated maturity in delivering direct, constructive feedback, navigating difficult conversations, and advocating upward to executive leadership.
Change Leadership: Adaptability to thrive in rapid-growth environments where operational priorities and volume demands evolve quickly.
