About the role

About the Role

A legal services and legal technology team is seeking a Senior Partner to help grow an AI-enabled law practice. You will bring an established client book, continue serving those clients, and help move recurring legal work onto AI agent tools.

What You'll Do

  • Contribute to the firm's growth and help shape its development.

  • Bring your portable client book to the practice and continue advising existing clients.

  • Build market relationships across private equity, venture capital, and mid-market businesses.

  • Identify opportunities to provide commercial and compliance services to clients and their portfolio companies.

  • Work with the founding team to identify recurring legal matters suitable for workflow automation.

What We're Looking For

  • 12 to 20 or more years of German legal practice, with experience as a partner at a recognized law firm or boutique.

  • German-qualified Volljurist admitted as a Rechtsanwalt, with native-level German and professional English.

  • A personally portable book of business worth at least €1 million, diversified across clients and not dependent on a large-firm brand.

  • Strong relationships with private equity or venture capital firms, mid-market companies, or portfolio businesses, and experience in recurring commercial, technology and data, corporate, venture capital, or regulatory work.

  • Hands-on use of AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or legal AI software, and a willingness to adapt legal workflows to automation.

  • A feasible client transition within approximately six months, without restrictive terms that prevent client migration.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: €200,000 to €300,000 annually. Meaningful equity is offered. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Location

Based in Berlin, Germany. The role may be on-site or remote within Germany; in-person work in Berlin is preferred.
