What You'll Do
Work directly with customers to deploy containerized software on on-premises and edge hardware, including air-gapped systems.
Own end-to-end execution of high-stakes technical projects with minimal supervision.
Discuss technical architecture with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Debug network and systems issues, review monitoring and alerts, manage configurations and load balancing, orchestrate containers, and conduct upgrades.
Provide operational and troubleshooting support to resolve issues quickly and minimize disruption.
Travel to customer locations, approximately 25% of the time.
What We're Looking For
Two to five years of software engineering experience, including hands-on integration of software with physical hardware in on-premises or edge environments.
An active US Security clearance at the Secret or Top Secret level, and authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
A computer science degree and strong Linux systems experience, including administration, networking, and on-premises infrastructure.
Experience deploying and managing containerized applications with Kubernetes.
Proficiency in one or more of Python, Java, Bash, Go, or JavaScript.
Background in defense, systems integration, or a related technology environment; familiarity with forward-deployed software platforms is helpful.
Based in or willing to relocate to the Washington, DC metro area, with availability to work in the office four days per week.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $135,000 to $200,000 USD annually. Employer visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
Remote role with a primary location in Palo Alto, California. The position includes customer-site travel and an expectation of in-office work four days per week.
