About the role

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Product based in the United States.

This leadership role offers the opportunity to shape the vision and strategy for a portfolio of internal and client-facing digital products, including automation, AI-powered tools, and data-driven solutions. You will ensure that individual products work together as a cohesive, scalable ecosystem while delivering measurable value to service teams and customers. Leading and developing a team of Product Managers, you will establish product priorities, strengthen execution standards, and translate business opportunities into impactful solutions. You will partner closely with technology leadership and development teams to guide architecture, roadmaps, and delivery. The role combines strategic portfolio ownership with hands-on product leadership in a fast-moving, AI-enabled environment. It is ideal for an experienced product leader who brings strong business judgment, customer empathy, and a passion for turning technical capabilities into valuable products.

Accountabilities

  • Define and own the vision for the product technology portfolio, encompassing internal applications, automation, AI capabilities, and external software products.

  • Establish how systems and applications work together as a unified, scalable ecosystem, continuously adapting the product strategy to evolving business needs, customer expectations, and technology developments.

  • Manage the product portfolio by determining which products to build, integrate, consolidate, retire, or purchase, ensuring each has a clear purpose, target audience, and strategic role.

  • Partner with technology leadership to align product architecture with technical architecture and support long-term scalability.

  • Direct the development of internal tools that help service teams deliver marketing services more efficiently, consistently, and intelligently, ensuring solutions address real user needs.

  • Lead the strategy for client-facing products, including analytics offerings and future market opportunities, transforming internal capabilities into valuable external solutions.

  • Lead, coach, and develop Product Managers, establishing clear operating rhythms and consistent standards for product strategy, user empathy, and design quality.

  • Provide development teams with clear direction, well-defined problems, and implementation-ready requirements, maintaining strong standards for product requirements documents (PRDs) and acceptance criteria.

  • Guide development and testing timelines, maintain focused roadmaps, and prioritize initiatives according to their expected business and customer impact.

  • Oversee product intake, feedback collection, prioritization, pilot programs, and rollouts, establishing criteria for production readiness and ensuring successful adoption.

  • Define product-specific key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on adoption, usage, operational improvements, and software cost savings.

  • Translate product performance data into clear insights about business value, service delivery effectiveness, and customer outcomes.

  • Monitor emerging developments in AI, automation, and product management practices, conduct structured evaluations, and recommend adoption or rejection based on evidence and strategic fit.

  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support business and product objectives.

  • Requirements

    • At least 6 years of experience in product management or product leadership, including 2 or more years managing Product Managers or product teams.

    • Demonstrated success defining product vision and strategy across a portfolio of related products, consolidating overlapping tools into a coherent platform, and bringing new products to market.

    • Experience delivering both internal tools and external, client-facing software products, including AI-enabled, automation, and data-driven applications developed in partnership with engineering teams.

    • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, with experience defining product KPIs, directing dashboard development, and translating usage and adoption metrics into measurable business outcomes.

    • Working knowledge of how digital marketing agencies operate and deliver services.

    • Strong command of product management processes, including PRDs, acceptance criteria, prioritization, pilot programs, and product rollouts.

    • Ability to participate credibly in architecture and technical delivery discussions in collaboration with technology leadership.

    • Hands-on experience with Agile delivery methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban, or equivalent frameworks.

    • Strong product design and user experience judgment, informed by user research, customer feedback, and adoption measurement through interviews, NPS, surveys, and similar methods.

    • Comfort working in a fast-paced, AI-accelerated environment, with practical familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code and cloud-native platforms such as Google Cloud Platform.

    • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align cross-functional teams around shared priorities.

    • A strategic mindset combined with execution discipline, sound business judgment, and the ability to balance customer needs, technical considerations, and organizational objectives.

    • Must be located in the United States and authorized to work there. Employment visa sponsorship or transfer is not available at this time.

    • Benefits

      • Annual salary ranging from $140,000 to $160,000.

      • Health insurance.

      • 401(k) retirement and savings plan.

      • Generous paid time off.

      • Flexible scheduling.
