We are looking for a committed and competent Business Analyst to join our international team. You will act as a key interface between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that business needs are clearly understood, analyzed, and translated into well-defined technical requirements.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, software engineers, technology vendors, and other technical teams to support the design and delivery of effective solutions.

Key tasks

• Gather, analyze, and understand business requirements from internal and external stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into clear and structured functional and technical requirements that can be implemented by development teams.
• Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and software engineers, ensuring a common understanding of requirements and expected outcomes.
• Analyze existing business processes, applications, interfaces, and data flows to identify appropriate solutions.
• Understand the Avaloq Core Banking Platform and the corresponding banking business processes and functional areas.
• Prepare and maintain requirements, functional specifications, process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation.
• Support developers during solution design and implementation by clarifying business and functional requirements.
• Support testing and validation activities to ensure that delivered solutions meet the agreed business requirements.
• Assist in root cause analysis and the resolution of functional and production issues.
• Ensure all documentation aligns with internal standards and best practices. Regularly review and update existing documentation to reflect any changes in processes or systems.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems, Finance, or an equivalent field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, or in a similar role within banking or financial services.
• 2+ years with Avaloq Core Platform or similar banking technology
• Experience with documenting business requirements and functional specifications
• Familiarity with developing user stories and use cases
• Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL
• Experience with SQL, Oracle/Snowflake databases data analysis, APIs, interfaces, or system integrations is considered an advantage.
• Experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), including understanding data integration processes, mappings, interfaces, and ETL/data flows is considered an advantage.
• Excellent analytical skills and a structured approach to problem solving.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Quality-conscious, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.
• Open-minded team player with strong communication skills and proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Willingness to develop strong knowledge of the Avaloq platform and complete relevant Avaloq training and certification.
