• ABACUS is a decision engine used for attribute-based User Authorization and regulatory-driven Preventative Controls across multiple business domains in Deutsche Bank. ABACUS developers are required to bring modern technologies and approaches into supporting multiple business domains across Deutsche Bank.

Your key responsibilities

• Design and develop new functionality on Java and optionally Kotlin
• Work with the business and BAs on functional and non-functional requirements
• Co-working with QA team on test automation of new and existing functionality 
• Investigate and fix production incidents, drive stability and monitoring improvements
• Design and implement subsystems and intersystem protocols
• Mentor junior engineers and share technical knowledge across the team.
• Take ownership of assigned components and features from design through production delivery and support.

Your skills and experience

• 8+ years of experience and excellent knowledge of Java and knowing Kotlin is a nice to have
• Proficiency in high-load distributed systems design: knowledge of consistency models, API types and trade-offs
• Good knowledge of algorithms, complexity, data structures
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Basic knowledge of modern Cloud technologies, i.e. k8s, ArgoCD, Grafana Tanka
• Basic knowledge of Linux
• Experience with modern SDLC tools - Git, JIRA, Artifactory, Jenkins is a plus
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimize workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
