About the role

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Manager, Ignite Member Operations based in the United States.

Join a dynamic product organization dedicated to transforming how fitness businesses manage their daily operations and member experiences through innovative software solutions. As Product Manager, Ignite Member Operations, you will own the product direction and roadmap for essential membership management workflows, from enrollment and recurring billing to cancellations, access control, and member records. Working closely with club owners, operators, frontline staff, engineers, designers, and cross-functional teams, you will turn real-world challenges into practical, scalable product improvements. You will balance customer needs, technical considerations, operational reliability, and business priorities to deliver meaningful results. Your work will help fitness businesses simplify complex processes, reduce manual work, and provide more seamless experiences for their members. This remote opportunity offers an environment that values collaboration, customer-driven innovation, continuous learning, and individual ownership.

Accountabilities

  • Own product strategy and roadmap: Define and maintain the product vision, roadmap, and priorities for core membership operations workflows, balancing customer needs, business objectives, operational risks, migration commitments, and enterprise requirements.
  • Lead customer discovery: Engage directly with club owners, operators, membership teams, and front-desk staff to understand operational challenges, identify friction points, and uncover opportunities to improve workflows.
  • Manage the membership lifecycle: Lead discovery and delivery for membership agreements, rewrites, freezes, cancellations, transfers, record merges, recurring dues, membership plans, pricing, and member records.
  • Improve access and check-in experiences: Enhance workflows for member check-ins, guest and day access, scheduling, staff roles, permissions, and club configuration.
  • Translate needs into product requirements: Collaborate with engineering, design, and quality assurance teams to define clear requirements, acceptance criteria, priorities, and delivery decisions.
  • Coordinate cross-functional integrations: Partner with teams responsible for commerce, insights, member engagement, and gym sales solutions to maintain consistent membership information across payments, reporting, communications, and the broader member journey.
  • Manage product launches and changes: Plan and communicate changes affecting live clubs, ensuring appropriate rollout strategies, user enablement, support readiness, monitoring, and rollback plans when needed.
  • Measure product performance: Establish and monitor success metrics, including agreement accuracy, access reliability, task completion, adoption, and reductions in manual workarounds.
  • Represent customer needs: Advocate for fitness businesses throughout the product development process, clearly communicating trade-offs and balancing the different requirements of independent clubs, franchises, and multi-location operators.
  • Drive continuous improvement: Use customer feedback, product data, and operational insights to refine existing capabilities and identify opportunities for more efficient, reliable workflows.
  • Requirements

  • Product management experience: Demonstrated experience owning product initiatives from problem definition and discovery through prioritization, delivery, launch, and continuous iteration.
  • Operational software expertise: Experience developing or managing workflow-intensive SaaS products, operational software, or technology solutions used by frontline employees and distributed teams.
  • Knowledge of operational workflows: Practical understanding of membership management, recurring billing, access control, permissions, or a comparable operational domain.
  • Technical fluency: Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and designers on APIs, systems of record, data consistency, permissions, integrations, and workflow behavior without necessarily writing production code.
  • Customer discovery and prioritization: Strong ability to gather customer insights, identify underlying problems, assess competing priorities, and translate findings into actionable product decisions.
  • Data-driven decision-making: Ability to combine qualitative feedback and quantitative product data to investigate issues, evaluate alternatives, and establish measurable outcomes.
  • Communication and stakeholder management: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex decisions, align stakeholders, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ownership and accountability: A proactive, curious, collaborative working style, with the ability to operate independently, navigate ambiguity, and deliver results in a cross-functional product organization.
  • Preferred industry experience: Background in fitness, club management, hospitality, retail, healthcare, financial services, or another multi-location operating environment.
  • Additional relevant expertise: Familiarity with member or customer lifecycle management, recurring payments, point-of-sale systems, access control, or role-based permissions is an advantage.
  • Operational change management: Experience delivering product changes in environments where operational continuity, reliability, and limited training time are important.
  • Emerging technologies: Experience using automation or AI-enabled tools to improve product discovery, analysis, product operations, or customer workflows, with appropriate attention to privacy and quality.
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in business, technology, or a related discipline is preferred. Equivalent practical experience is also welcome.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel occasionally to visit customers, fitness clubs, or team locations as business needs require.
  • Benefits

  • Competitive compensation: Annual base salary ranging from $125,000 to $141,000 USD, depending on experience, qualifications, skills, geographic location, and market considerations.
  • Additional compensation: Eligibility for bonuses, commissions, equity, or other incentive programs where applicable.
  • Remote flexibility: Work remotely from the United States, with flexibility to manage your work and personal commitments.
  • Open paid time off: An open PTO policy designed to give employees flexibility in planning time away from work.
  • Company-wide days of disconnect: One collective day off each quarter to support rest, well-being, and work-life balance.
  • Health coverage: Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Family support: Parental leave and additional leave for employees welcoming new pets into their families.
  • Fitness and wellness: A quarterly reimbursement to support your personal fitness journey.
  • Mental health support: Access to an Employee Assistance Program and a premium Calm subscription for employees and up to four dependents aged 16 or older.
  • Professional development: Ongoing learning opportunities, training, and opportunities to develop your skills and grow professionally.
  • Inclusive culture: A collaborative, values-driven environment focused on belonging, teamwork, continuous improvement, and meaningful contributions.
  • Meaningful impact: The opportunity to help fitness businesses improve operational efficiency and create better experiences for clubs, staff, coaches, and members.
