This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Mid-Level Bilingual Java Developer based in Brazil.

Join a collaborative technology team where you’ll help build and improve software solutions using Java in an agile development environment. As a mid-level developer, you’ll contribute throughout the software development lifecycle, from defining technical specifications to implementing and refining solutions. You’ll work closely with fellow engineers, including AI-augmented developers who leverage artificial intelligence to enhance productivity and code quality. Your ability to communicate fluently in English will be essential for collaborating across teams and contributing to technical discussions. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who enjoys continuous learning, adapts to evolving tools and practices, and takes ownership of development tasks from beginning to end. The position offers a fully remote work model and a full-time employment contract in Brazil.

Accountabilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using Java.

  • Participate in agile development processes, collaborating with engineers and other stakeholders to deliver reliable software solutions.

  • Contribute to technical discussions, requirements analysis, and the preparation of development specifications.

  • Take ownership of assigned tasks throughout the development lifecycle, from understanding requirements to implementation and delivery.

  • Use AI-powered programming tools to support coding, problem-solving, and development productivity.

  • Collaborate with AI-augmented engineers to integrate AI-assisted practices into daily development workflows.

  • Communicate technical ideas, progress, challenges, and proposed solutions clearly in English.

  • Adapt to changing project priorities, development practices, and emerging technologies while maintaining a focus on quality.

  • Work collaboratively with team members to troubleshoot issues, improve existing code, and deliver solutions aligned with project objectives.

    • Requirements

    • Professional experience developing software with Java.

    • Experience working in agile teams and participating in collaborative software development processes.

    • Familiarity with preparing technical specifications and translating requirements into practical development solutions.

    • Experience using artificial intelligence tools to support programming and software development.

    • Advanced to fluent spoken English, with the ability to participate confidently in technical discussions and team collaboration.

    • Ability to work effectively alongside other engineers, including professionals who use AI to augment their development workflows.

    • Proactive mindset, adaptability, and willingness to take end-to-end responsibility for assigned development activities.

    • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

    • Ability to manage priorities independently while contributing to shared team goals.
